2024/2025 DEPOSIT RETURN Program – Fundraising Opportunity

HBM Township is encouraging local community not-for-profit organizations to apply to become its 2024/25 Deposit Return Program Partner and receive fundraiser benefit from all Deposit Returns “deposited” at the 6^th Line Transfer Station. The application deadline is September 15, 2024.

The outcomes of this partnership are to:

• build community relationships
• increase residential access to appropriate provincial deposit return recycling systems
• improve the awareness of recycling within the County of Peterborough
• provide funding for community partner

As part of the community partner application process, applicants will outline how and where the deposit program funds are to be utilized and expand on how the monies will directly benefit the community. Council will share this information with the public.
