Emergency Benefit for Storm-related Expenses

Emergency Benefit available for eligible residents.

Eligible residents in the City and County of Peterborough can apply through Social Services for Emergency Benefit for storm-related expenses of up to $75.

• Ontario Works Recipients can call their Case Manager at 705-748-8830.
• ODSP Recipients can call their Case Manager at 705-742-9292.
• Low-income residents who do not receive social assistance can call the Social Services Office at 705-748-8830.

Please note that Social Services is receiving a high volume of telephone calls. When leaving a message, residents are asked to provide their name and phone number, and someone will respond as quickly as possible.

For residents who are unable to call, please visit the Peterborough Social Services office at 178 Charlotte St. (Charlotte Mews) between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday to Friday.
