HBM TOWNSHIP STORM UPDATE
Here is the storm update for today:
WATER JUG & WATER SUPPLIE STATION
Available 24/7 at NO COST to residents:
- ¾ Inch Hose Fill – great for irregular-shaped jugs
- Jug Fill – for standard jugs up to 5 gallons (18.9L)
Note: Bulk water tanks are NOT accepted
STORM DEBRIS & BRUSH DISPOSAL
FREE drop-off for HBM residents (no trunks or stumps):

Centreline Depot – 1275 County Road 24

Note: Please place brush in designated areas and follow signage at each depot.
SPOILED FOOD WASTE DROP-OFF
Small quantity food waste recycling is available at HBM Transfer Stations.
Accepting FREE for composting until April 14th, 2025:

WARMING & DEVICE CHARGING CENTRES
- Township warming & Charging centres are now closed.
- Havelock & Cordova Libraries remain available. Check hours at : hbmlibrary.on.ca
ACCESS TO SHOWERS
Available at the HBM Community Centre arena:
- To reserve a change room w/ shower
Never use generators near windows, doors, or vents
- Avoid BBQs/grills indoors or in garages
- Check that wood stoves vent properly
- Install & test CO detectors regularly
- Refuel generators outside and only when cool
- Don’t overload your generator – follow guidelines
FOOD SAFETY TIPS FOR POWER OUTAGES
When in doubt, throw it out!
- Meats, dairy, eggs, and leftovers spoil after 2+ hrs above 4°C (40°F)
- Check for mould – clean small spots, call pros for large areas
- Tip: Check with local officials for disposal assistance
