Baily Baptie School of Dance & Yoga Studio
The Village of Havelock has a new School of Dance and Yoga Studio. The dance and yoga studio is conveniently located within the village limits at the intersection of Mary Street and Highway 7 in the Town N' Country Plaza. Many residents will recognize Baily Baptie’s name for she’s been providing dance classes for people of all ages within our community for many years often held at the Havelock Centre and the Havelock Seniors Club. Baily employs another dance teacher and with this expansion of her business she will be hiring one more. We are thankful Baily chose to establish her dance and yoga studio in Havelock and encourage local community members to check it out.

RECREATIONAL DANCE CLASSES:
• Full dance classes from ages 2 – 16 years, and adult sessions
• Drop-in Lessons and Programs – day program, kids dance, adult line dancing

BAILY’S BACKSTORY
Baily has been teaching dance since her late teens and this September she will celebrate her 10th Anniversary as a dance teacher. She grew up in Norwood and was fortunate to get into the TASS Integrated Arts and Dance program, which set the course for her career and the continuation of her dance training. Although dance has remained her passion throughout her life, earlier in her career she trained as a PSW, later as a drilling technician working with Strata Drilling Group for several years. During this time, she continued to teach classes in the evenings and on weekends, which with time became her full-time focus and career.
Now with two dance locations, multiple special events, and dance programming offered across a broad number of local community centres and halls, Baily’s proven herself to be a successful entrepreneur and businesswoman. She’s quick to reinforce she didn’t do it alone and considers herself very fortunate to have had such an incredibly supportive family with her mom handling her administration early on and Grandfather helping with many things including towing their annual Norwood Fair and Santa Claus parade floats.
BAILY’S GOAL & MISSION
Baily’s goal is to run an engaging recreational dance school that grows steadily and not too fast because it's important to her to be personally invested in each student’s enjoyment and success. Her mission is to create a unique environment that provides a safe space for students of all ages and abilities to explore, learn, and grow together.
