Notice of Intention to Pass a By-law to Remove Holding Provision (H)

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Municipal Corporation of the Township of
Havelock-Belmont-Methuen intends to pass an amending By-Law pursuant to
Section 36(4) of the Planning Act, to remove the Holding Provision (H) from certain
lands described as Concession 10, East Half Lot 30, FR 87A in the geographic
Township of Havelock-Belmont-Methuen, Methuen Ward as shown on the Key Map.

The Council of the Corporation of the Township of Havelock-Belmont-Methuen will
consider the proposed amending by-law not sooner than February 20, 2024, during
the regular council meeting at 9:30 a.m. at the Municipal Office of the Township of
Havelock-Belmont-Methuen. The Public Meeting will be held in hybrid fashion
(in-person and electronically).

Municipal Clerk, Robert Angione, by email at bangione@hbmtwp.ca, no later than
12:00 p.m. (noon) on the day prior to the scheduled meeting and you will be
provided with an invitation to join the meeting using your computer or phone.

By-law No. 2023-074, as enacted by Council on November 21, 2023, had the effect
of rezoning the subject lands from the Rural Zone (RU) zone to ‘Special District 275-
Holding (S.D. 275-H) until the registration of a Road Agreement was executed
between the Owner and Municipality for FR 87A.

By-Law 2023-074 included a Holding Provision (H) to restrict development until such
time as conditions were satisfied. The conditions are no longer applicable and,
therefore, the effect of removing the Holding Symbol (H) will allow the subject lands
to be used in accordance with the prevailing zoning S.D. 275 Zone.

A KEY MAP showing the lands to which this Holding Provision (H) applies is
provided on the reverse side.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION related to the proposed amending by-law is available
for inspection as of the date of this notice between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30
p.m. at the Municipal Office located at 1 Ottawa Street East, Havelock, Ontario.
If you wish to be notified of the passing of the holding provision removal, you must
make a written request to the Municipal Clerk of the Township of Havelock-Belmont-Methuen.
