Request for Committee Volunteer - Library Board

The Council of the Township of Havelock-Belmont-Methuen invites applicants to serve on the following volunteer Municipal Committee:

 

·                Library Board                                                     1 Appointment

The purpose of the Havelock-Belmont-Methuen Library Board is to govern the affairs of the public library in service to the community.

Applicants should be community-minded with a special interest in library activities.

Interested persons are invited to submit applications by completing the Municipal Volunteer Application Form by Tuesday, June 11, 2024.

Nomination Deadline Extension

Today, Monday February 26th, Peterborough County announced an extension of the nomination deadline for the Peterborough County Recognition Awards to March 8th, 2024, providing nominators with additional time to submit their entries.

The awards ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, May 16, 2024, at 6:30 pm in the Township of Douro-Dummer at the Douro Community Centre.

Nominations are welcome in various categories, including:
• Accessibility Recognition
• Acts of Heroism
• Agricultural Leadership
• Business Leadership
• Community Volunteer of the Year
• Environmental/Sustainability Recognition
• Heritage Preservation
• Leadership in Arts and Culture
• Sporting Excellence
• Youth

Celebrate those who have made a positive impact on Peterborough County by submitting your nominations today!

Nomination forms are available throughout Peterborough County at:
• Peterborough County Administration Building – 470 Water Street Peterborough
• Local Township Municipal Offices
• Township Fire Stations
• Local Police Services Boards
• Peterborough County schools and libraries
• Municipal Chamber of Commerce Offices; and
• Community Care Organizations

Please Note: Both the physical and digital nomination forms will list March 1st as the specified deadline. Please utilize these forms, as they remain valid and acceptable.
