NOTICE OF A PUBLIC MEETING: PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT CHARGES (D.C.) BY-LAW AND UNDERLYING BACKGROUND STUDY

TAKE NOTICE On Tuesday, January 14, 2025 the Council of the Township of Havelock-Belmont-Methuen will hold a public meeting, pursuant to section 12 of the Development Charges Act, 1997, as amended, to present and obtain public input on the municipality’s proposed development charges (D.C.) by-law and underlying background study.

DATE AND TIME:    Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at 9:30 a.m.

LOCATION:             Township of Havelock-Belmont-Methuen Municipal Office, Council Chamber,
1 Ottawa St. East, Havelock, ON K0L 1Y0

All interested parties are invited to attend the Public Meeting of Council virtually or in-person. Any person who attends the meeting may make representations relating to the proposed D.C. by-law and background study.  You are encouraged to complete a delegation request form in order to be included on the agenda for this meeting.

In order that sufficient information is made available to the public, the background study is being made available online at the municipality’s website www.hbmtwp.ca on December 20, 2024.  Copies of the proposed D.C. by-law and the background study are also being made available as of December 20, 2024 from the municipal Clerk at the above location or via email bangione@hbmtwp.ca

Interested persons may express their comments at the public meeting or in writing, addressed to the Municipal Clerk, at the above address prior to Monday, January 6, 2025.

Special Budget 2025 Council Meeting

Would you like to address Council?

The Special Budget 2025 Council meeting will be held Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at 9;30 am, and residents are welcome to attend in the Council Chamber or via zoom.  It is for observation only and attendee questions will not be received, with one exception, and that is by delegation.

If you would like to address Council, either in person or virtually, to discuss some aspect of the 2025 budget, you are encouraged to complete an online Delegation Request form.  The online delegation request form is available by clicking Delegation Request Form.  A delegation at a Council Meeting will allow a person/group/organization to speak on a topic for a maximum time of ten (10) minutes.  Printed delegation forms are available at the Municipal Office which is located at 1 Ottawa St E, Havelock. 

VIRTUAL MEETING - Please take notice that the Zoom meeting invitation is now available on the 1st page of the Agenda, which is available on our website at: https://events.hbmtwp.ca/council.

All meetings are recorded and posted to the Township's YouTube channel approximately 2 - 3 days post meeting.
