NOTICE OF A PUBLIC MEETING: PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT CHARGES (D.C.) BY-LAW AND UNDERLYING BACKGROUND STUDY

TAKE NOTICE On Tuesday, January 14, 2025 the Council of the Township of Havelock-Belmont-Methuen will hold a public meeting, pursuant to section 12 of the Development Charges Act, 1997, as amended, to present and obtain public input on the municipality’s proposed development charges (D.C.) by-law and underlying background study.

DATE AND TIME:    Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at 9:30 a.m.

LOCATION:             Township of Havelock-Belmont-Methuen Municipal Office, Council Chamber,
1 Ottawa St. East, Havelock, ON K0L 1Y0

All interested parties are invited to attend the Public Meeting of Council virtually or in-person. Any person who attends the meeting may make representations relating to the proposed D.C. by-law and background study.  You are encouraged to complete a delegation request form in order to be included on the agenda for this meeting.

In order that sufficient information is made available to the public, the background study is being made available online at the municipality’s website www.hbmtwp.ca on December 20, 2024.  Copies of the proposed D.C. by-law and the background study are also being made available as of December 20, 2024 from the municipal Clerk at the above location or via email bangione@hbmtwp.ca

Interested persons may express their comments at the public meeting or in writing, addressed to the Municipal Clerk, at the above address prior to Monday, January 6, 2025.

Public Notice for Stop Up, Closure, and Conveyance for Part of Road Allowance Between Lots 15 and 16, Concession 8, Township of Havelock-Belmont-Methuen

Take Notice the Council of The Corporation of the Township of Havelock-Belmont-Methuen has declared that portion of the unopened road allowance between Lots 15 and 16, Concession 8 in the Township of Havelock-Belmont-Methuen, County of Peterborough, to be surplus.

Take Further Notice that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Havelock-Belmont-Methuen proposes to enact a By-Law to stop-up, close and convey that portion of the road allowance adjacent to the property having civic address of 19 Fire Route 38, described as all and singular that certain parcel or tract of land and premises situate, lying and being in the Township of Havelock-Belmont-Methuen, in the County of Peterborough and being composed of the following:

Location: Part of road allowance, between Lots 15 and 16, Concession 8, being Part 2 on Registered Plan 45R-17709, described as being Part of P.I.N. 28234-0155 (LT).

A Key Map and Survey showing the lands to which this stop up, closure, and conveyance applies to is provided with this notice.

The proposed By-Law will come before Council for consideration at its regular meeting at the Havelock-Belmont-Methuen Municipal Office, 1 Ottawa Street East, Havelock, on Tuesday January 14th, 2025 at 9:30 a.m. and at that time, the Council will hear in person or by his/her counsel, solicitor or agent any person who claims that his/her land will be prejudicially affected and who applies to be heard. Any person who wishes to be heard by Council regarding this proposed closure must contact the Clerk to schedule a delegation with Council.
